Well for starters my name is Joshua, and i am 16 years old. I attend Donna North School, and currently am a junior. There are you things that I can't last a day without, which are my parents and running. Without my parents I have no idea where i would right now physical and mentally. Running is my life, it's what makes me feel alive, its what makes me feel happy, and gives me the feeling to help others. Next year will be my senior year and I am determine to be the state champ and national qualifier in both cross-country and track. My long time goal for the sport is to make the USA Olympic team, and   to compete agonist  the best around the world. I now for sure it won't be easy, but i know I am capable of it with God's Strenght.

Over this past school year, in my English III AP class, I have excelled my writing compatibility a lot higher than any other English class I have ever taken. This year’s English class has shown me many different ways to revise and edit my essay, in order to improve them rather than just skim through them once or twice for a glimpse of errors. There are three type of ways to that I prefer to use when I need to revise my essay’s, which are Model Essay Peer Revision, peer revision by someone you trust for revision, and Group revision.

One of the ways that I like to use was the “Rogerian Argument Model Essay Peer Revision”. It has a c hart that shows you 14 questions and with each question a responds column on the right side, would read needs improvement, good, and excellent. I like this one type of revision, because it points you to the direct parts of your essay where it could use editing.

Another way of revising my essay that I would suggest is to just give your paper to someone else to revise. My reason of this way of revision is because the person who reads it can tell me where he/she thinks I should change or add something to particular parts of the essay. Form me this type of revision is pretty simple and is not time comuseming. I guess that’s why I like this revision in the first place.

My third type of revision that I like to do, and also my favorite one awhile; is the group revision. The way this type of revision works by each person who is in your group, no limit of people could be too many, is by exchanging each other’s essays and revises them for a certain amount of time. Then we exchange the essays, after the time is done, to either the right or left side allow next person to revise the essay and including yourself as well.

These three types of revision helped me a lot, in which of just scamming through my essays and trying to find any errors, after writing my it myself. I hope I can remember to use these types of revision in college, and to share them to my fellow classmates as well. I would like to thank Mrs. Sheridan for teaching my all of what I learned in the English langue, and hope to have her next year for English IIII.
